City councillors Timo Furuholm (Left Alliance) and Saara Ilvessalo (Greens) of the city of Turku, Finland, put forward a council initiative, stating that "the councillors propose that the city of Turku develops climate criteria for the tendering of its outdoor advertisements, which promote climate-neutral and climate-positive advertisements and, accordingly, curb climate-harmful advertising."
