Description

For over a decade, the UNEP Emissions Gap Report has provided a yearly review of the difference between where greenhouse emissions are predicted to be in 2030 and where they should be to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.

The United Nations Environment Programme identifies a ban on advertising of large, high-carbon private vehicles and to a restriction on airline and flight advertising as mechanisms for lifestyle change which can have a substantial mitigation potential to reduce emissions. Also carbon labelling at point of sale for vehicle fuel and other fossil fuel products is mentioned.
