Global Climate and Health Alliance

The Global Climate and Health Alliance (GCHA) is an alliance of health NGOs, health professional organisations, and health and environment alliances from around the world. One of the alliance's campaigns is an open letter signed by 600 organisations, representing 46 million nurses, doctors and health workers worldwide, including the WHO. The letter, including a report, argues that health and equity must be at the centre of climate change and response. The Global Climate and Health Alliance shows why it’s important to take climate action from a health perspective.

GCHA have repeatedly spoken out for a fossil ad ban, e.g. in their Cradle to Grave report and in several high level panel discussions including at the World Health Assembly (2022) and C40 (2023).
