The Dutch Animal party

The Dutch Animal party (Partij voor de Dieren) has been advocating for a fossil ad ban in parliament and several cities in the Netherlands. In every local council they are part of, the PvdD has voted for motions or local law changes to ban fossil ads. For the 2021 national elections, they put the following text in their party manifesto (page 13, in Dutch):

'Because advertising by the fossil industry (coal, oil and gas companies) and for fossil products and services (e.g. petrol cars and air travel) exacerbates the climate problem, we ban such advertising. There will be a warning at points of sale of fossil fuel, air travel and vehicles with fossil fuel engines.'
